Arv & Brie

On Tuesday my Papa Stone passed away after a struggle with cancer. The last few months he's been very sick. I was sad to see him go but I am so thankful he is not suffering any longer. His funeral was yesterday, the kids were dressed up so I of course couldn't resist the urge of taking their pictures.

Snow - March 2009

Our neighbors house across the street, Mr. & Mrs. Franks. I thought this was a beautiful picture from my front porch. Alexander has enjoyed the snow so much. He went sledding, made snow angels and just enjoyed playing in the snow. He was so excited yesterday when we were standing at the front door watching the snow come down. We had huge flakes and such a great time just enjoying him being so excited about the snow!!

Checking out all his toys to make the snow didn't totally cover everything up!

Alexander with Miss Janis - his Speech Teacher

It seems hard to believe Alexander will be 5 on Monday. He has accomplished so much in the last 5 years! And I as his Mommy have learned so much about Speech and Developmental Delays that I never dreamed I'd learn in such a few short years! We are looking forward to Monday and celebrating a big milestone in his short life. Miss Janis was so wonderful with Alexander at the Scottish Rites Center here in Greenville. I am so glad we had her. At first, she seemed like she was going to be tough but he learned so much from her it, it truly is unbelievable!! She taught him so much and he always listened so attentivately to her and always looked forward to going and "playing with Miss Janis! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ALEXANDER!!! You are much loved by all of your family.

Alexander & Miss Mary Jane

Alexander with his special friend, Miss Mary Jane. Since Alexander was about 2, he has know Mary Jane and they have become good friends. She is a teacher and appreciates all the improves Alexander has made with Speech and his delays. She is always so excited to see Alexander and he loves her dearly. I wish we could have her for a teacher in Elementary school. Arvin said if she was, he'd never won't to leave school!!

Alexander and Mr. Bear

I manage to take this last night. Mr. Bear is a stuffed animal that Alexander has gotten attached to at Grandma's house. So occasionally he likes to bring him home with us. I have even forgotten that we had Mr. Bear here but Alexander obviously hadn't. I'm glad he hasn't been to Grandma's to spend the night because we would have left him here since I had forgotten we had him here! :)

Christmas at Aunt Margaret's

Here's pictures from Christmas at Aunt Margaret's. I always look forward to this all year long. Uncle Ben & Aunt Dot come from North Carolina and most of my cousins are usually there and it is always a fun time. And the food is....well you won't be able to find anything better to eat any where on earth.

Polar Express Ride

I am so behind on blogging. Life has been full and hectic lately. I want to finish posting all my Christmas photos, but I thought I'd start with our trip to Bryson City a few days before Christmas to take Alexander on the Polar Express Train Ride. We enjoyed it alot however, the day we left I had to take Alexander into the Dr. He had a sinus infection and broncitius, so that is why he is asleep in one of the photos! He did enjoy the hotel though. It was a fun time and we are glad we went.
We had to buy me a new car recently and I will post those pictures soon too. My cousin, David is in some trouble and spent a few days in jail. Please pray for him - he is a good man. God has blessed my family so much in the last few weeks. You never know how much you need God until he is all you have and all you really need!!
